My father passed away, and I took in one of his plants. We both had a green thumb, so I’d really love to bring it back to life. I only brought it outside for the photo—it normally stays in my condo near the patio glass door. My condo is half underground, which keeps it nice and cool, but it doesn’t get a lot of natural light. I watered it three days ago, but it never fully perked up. Any advice on what I can do to help revive it would mean a lot.

If this is a Pothos/Heartleaf check the soil before watering again. If it’s still wet like several inches down, don’t keep adding water. I’d pull the nursery pot and check the roots to make sure the roots are still healthy and in good shape. I would either move the plant closer to the glass door or add a small grow light to help the plant a little more.

I am sorry for your loss. I find these pothos to be a bit tricky compared to other cultivars. Agree with the water and light comments above. You could also try to propagate, thereby giving the main plant a chance to focus on getting healthy.

I’d give it a trim and repot it in the fall. My pothos exploded with healthy growth after I did that.
