Help! I had to remove my Thai con from the leca it was in bc there was mold when i got back from my vacation. I cleaned off with hydrogen peroxide and removed dead roots and let it air dry overnight. When i came back from work (12 hrs) it was tilted over and wilted. I assume it just needs water bc i left it without any overnight. I cleaned off additional roots today and now I placed it in water with a bit of fertilizer (not much) should my plant bounce back? I’m leaving it inside of water because I’m leaving for 14 days on vacation out of the country but I will have someone coming to take care of my plants. What should they do if the roots start to get mold on them, not rot, but mold on the roots.

I would place it in clean filtered water, no fertilizer until it bounces back

I would cover all the roots with water. I would tell your plant caregiver to top up the water to keep the roots under water. Tell them to replace with clean water if the water is cloudy. 🪴🍀
