How do I figure out what kind of Aglaonema this is? To me they all look very similar? Google and Planta suggest: Red Valentine, China Red, Suksom Jaipong, Etta Rose, Red Zircon, Lucky Red, Pink Lady, Red Joy, Pink Thai, and a few others. If you look them up, they all look the same!!

The care should be almost identical if not identical with all those cultivars since they’re variegated and crossbred similarly enough to create essentially the same type of plant. Personally, I’d say you should pick Suksom Jaipong or China Red, as the rest aren’t really that accurate to the color and lack of green this one has. If neither cultivar is available here as an ID, I’d pick Red Joy as a close second. Hope this helps 😊

She has been super easy so far! She sits near a grow light and I occasionally remember to turn the humidifier on, but it’s more for the begonias near her!

I have one that has more green around the edges. I thought it was the firecracker type. Either way, I agree with someone else who said the care is pretty much the same for them all.

Aglaonema mondestum schott (peloric) (that is a long name lol but I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what that is)
