oh no! I’m noticing on my hydrangea plant entry that the flowers are beautiful, but the leaves are all crumpled. Today is Monday morning. They were watered on Saturday afternoon and then on Sunday it rained a little bit. What the heck happened?

좋아요 1개 Hydrangeas are shade plants, it should be getting morning sun only. Any direct sun past 1 pm is too strong for it. Plus since fall is rolling in, it’s going to start to look rough as it dies back for the winter. I’d move it to a shadier spot, give it another good watering and let it run its course 😃

좋아요 1개 Definitely water it. I’d say at this point those crispy leaves will not come back but a good watering will help plump up the green ones it has left.

I ran into this same issue. When they’re flowering, they need a lot of water. I kept mine in a pot with a water catch tray, filled it every day, and let the roots drink from the bottom. The flowers held beautifully and stayed vibrant.
