After the post office lost my plants for five days and I finally received them, they all looked pretty bad except one or two, but I thought, plants are resilient, maybe they’ll recover. Instead, it’s the opposite. The sick ones now look horrible, and the ones that looked healthy are now slowly, ever so slowly, shriveling up and dying. It’s so painful!

If the roots look good they could still come back. Be real careful with the watering though.

This happened to me back in early December, Matt. Had an unexpected cold snap in NYC and UPS had a delayed delivery - perfect combo to destroy three beautiful plants. I am happy to say that two are still alive. They don’t look pretty but they are alive. I left them alone under a grow light for about a week. Then I took a chance and repotted them because their soil was so wet for some reason. First frozen then wet. Cut back most of the leaves and didn’t water them for a few weeks. I think the solar flare aloe is def going to make it but the dieffenbachia’s fate is still tbd. I won’t give up until spring and I don’t think you should either!
