Hi folks, I just got this 2” Pink Polka Dot plant yesterday. I have two questions about it…. 1) what next size pot should I put it in since it’s in a 2” nursery pot? and 2) how do I keep the leaves as pink as possible? Thanks in advance for any help!
1. It depends on the roots. If it’s not root bound, keep it in the same sized pot (but I would still replace the soil). If it’s root bound, upsize to a 3 to 4 inch pot 2. I believe the pink is dependent on light. More light, more pink!
3 Likes Would I know it to be root bound if the roots start coming out the bottom? And I was planning to use tropical soil for it.
1 Like Tropical soil sounds good! Roots coming out of the bottom doesn’t necessarily mean it’s root bound - being root bound would look like this photo
