Hello! Am I the only one that find snake plants not that EASY? Can we get a group just for snake plants?

I would love a group like that. I love snake plants. What’s your set up for your plant?

He is in a corner of a North facing window, but he gets the ceiling lights. He has been moved around, but he stays close to the N window. I have killed a few snake plants in my time. Idk how I did that. Haha

I have four now. I read that you don’t water these until they are 100 per cent dry. Mine are close to north windows, too, so I did get a grow light to help them.

I actually touch the dirt from the drainage hole before watering. That’s how dry I let him get

Try using a wooden chop stick to test the soil. Mine are doing really good since I started that. I stick it close to the plant and go atleast 3/4 into the pot. If it comes out dry I water but if it's even just damp I hold off. Hope this helps and good luck

I heard they like being ignored lol. I don’t have one though so I can’t say for sure 🤣

They do lol. Every other plant is ‘only water me with reverse osmosis water on a full moon and don’t wear red it kills the vibes’ and snake plants are like ‘water me when you think of it. No rush tho 🙂’

Snake plants? Yes! One of my favorite groups of plants. They are succulents so I treat them as such. Let the soil dry out completely before giving a good drenching. And in order to thrive they need very bright light, even some sun is good. I wish my local plants shops carried a wider variety of them. But I find one now and then. I would like to share part of my sansevieria (snake plants) collection. These are all sansevieria.

I’m convinced you have infinite plants. Every time I look through the comments of a post you seem to have a new photo that includes at least 10 new ones. How in the world do you keep them all looking so nice?

Well thank you. But it’s all an illusion 😁. I have in Planta about 155 plants but by far the majority is succulents. So they take up less space. I’m lucky to have the time to take care of them. I enjoy it greatly. You just reminded me that I made my profile “private” a few weeks ago. I’ll change it back to public. You can get a better look then.

I think the trick with snake plants is a nice sunny spot and a lot of neglect lol. I water mine like every 6 months 🫠

it’s typically because people water routinely and snake plants only need water based on its specific environment/lighting. i have some growing beautifully in water (started as a prop 🤭) as everyone else said, only water when fully dry and it will thrive
