I should’ve waited at my local store! I bought a different variety of nepenthes that was half dying and all the pitchers are brown and then I went back and they had these big, beautiful pitcher plants and I was like really lol. My local nursery will order plants or call you when they order a variety, so that might be worth looking into in your area.

If you don’t know or no one has told you: - distilled water or rainwater only, nothing with chemicals or fertilizer or anything at all - they like humidity so humidity tray or humid room and/or keeping it moist at all times - the tips look good on yours - if they come out brown that one’s not gonna have a pitcher that grows - Use well-draining soil, such as sphagnum peat moss and perlite or sand - they do need to be eatin’ some bugs. That’s where they get all the stuff that they don’t get from water and fertilizer so if you don’t have any bugs that might be a problem. But you could feed them dried crickets. - some require a few months of dormancy period during winter, depending on your zone and the variety of carnivorous species

just a note, do not use normal potting soil. there should never be any dirt in the pot. only non-soil substrates like sphagnum or leca, soil will suffocate the roots 100% of the time. also be sure that you aren't overfeeding on bugs, as overfeeding will kill the trumpet and the foliage may suffer too. a bug a week, maybe, for a plant this small
