JayI would recommend sitting this guy in a tray of water! Unlike most plants, Carnivores love soggy, boggy conditions. It’d be less dramatic, and you’d only have to top off the bowl every few days! They also want RO/purified/rain water, in case you didn’t know ❤️

Awww, This is my first venus fly trap and since they are so hard to take care of i researched all day and night, if you are wanting another i can share some tips. No soil, Ever! only low nutrient substitutes like sphagnum moss. only 1-2 bugs is enough for a whole month! Never give it tap water or bottled water, they’ll die. only distilled water, rainwater, or reverse osmosis water! P.S a gallon of distilled water is only like a dollar!
