Good afternoon everyone!☀️ Just asking for some good leaf cleaning mixtures! Any that you recommend? Have worked really well for shining but also keeping pests away? Also looking for some good liquid fertilizer just so I can get my stuff ready. TIA💗

I use a diluted solution of neem oil to keep pests away and shine leaves. I put a capful in a large spray bottle with a drop of dish soap and shake it up. Shake before using. Neem oil is very strong. Use it sparingly. ☺️

i’d recommend staying away from neem oil, as many pests are immune to it from overuse. also, dish soap is much too harsh for plants, castile soap is a safer option

I was I introduced to a product called Neem & Gleam which does NOT smell like neem, which I dislike immensely. I’m sure you could make your own as it’s neem oil, essential oils, distilled water and insecticidal soap. I’ve used it on my alocasia’s this winter to help ward off pests. The shop I bought it at said to treat all my plants weekly and I am just not “that” committed. They said at a minimum the Alocasia’s because pests can hide easily in the nooks and crannies. Oh cool!! Thank you so much!! And yes neem oil does stink…very bad lmao. I hate using it but I do anyway to keep my green children healthy bahahaha. I’ll definitely look into that so I don’t have to be around a bunch of smelly stuff!
