What makes (ordinarily non-pink) plants turn pink? I’ve had a cryptanthus bivittatus for a few years that cycles between being green and pink, so I know it’s a thing that plants do. But I just moved to a new apartment with much better lighting than my old place and both my ripple jade and my pickle plant are turning pink! The jade especially surprised me because I’ve had it for years and it’s now fuchsia for the first time ever. I shouldn’t be worried… right? 😅
Plants will often get a pink hue due to sun/sun stress. If your plants are getting more sun they might “blush”. Sometimes they adjust and the pink fades, or if it concerns you or the plant starts to show signs of distress pulling them back from the light will fix it too.

sun stress! not harmful but can indicate an issue. lots of people actually try to get the special colors on purpose because they're cooler lol
