Plant Dad

I have a domino peace lilly for a little over a year. It has been thriving, growing leaves on the regular and even gave me its first bloom which was also variegated. The location or light has not changed, however, it started to revert and the past three leaves have been green. What would cause that and is there any way to get back to be variegated again?

This happens to lots of plants. You could cut off the 3 leaves

I know I am able to do that with some plants like my Alocasias but didn't realize I could do tje same for this type of plant. Would it just grow new leaves back or would it kind of start a whole new off shoot? Would I just kind of pluck/peel them off or should I cut the stalk clean off directly below the three leaves?

Peace lily blooms are mutated leaves 👍. If your domino is turning more white, the area isn’t bright enough so your plant makes more green to supplement for the low amount of light. Give it brighter light and the white will return. Just go up slowly :)

It has been in the same spot since I've had it which is why I am so confused as to why it's reverting to green. It gets some direct morning sun then is under a grow light for the rest of the time. The leaves were getting bigger and the variegation has been extremely consistent then changed suddenly to all green. I did recently change the location though to an area that gets maybe 30-45min more direct morning light to see if that helps.

Most variegation changes happen over months imo. Season changes can also affect the light levels. Hopefully the change helps it recover but generally if the plant is making more green, it’s from either lack of light or you’ve fed it too much nitrogen :)
