This pink princess has been in water for over a year and this is all the roots it has. Can I plant it? Thank

    Yeah sure, put it in soil but make sure it stays wet for about 2 weeks so it can acclimate to the substrate.

    Yes I definitely would. I would also water with superthrive and gently start introducing nutrients to it at a half strength rate especially if its been in water for a year.

    Very chunky soil or it will die off. It will be so used to water for so long if there is not air pockets in soils your roots may rot away.

    Thanks everyone for the help. I will try planting it in chunky soil and use superthive to help. I also use rain water and will keep the soil somewhat moist for a little while.

    Since it’s been in water for so long, why not try putting it in PON? I have over 30 plants in this substrate, and for the most part, I love it! It definitely lessons the work I would normally have with a plant that is in a soil substrate. Any more questions about switching to PON, just give me a holler! Good luck!

    First of all, go to YouTube, and find some videos on using PON. There are lots of them, and it’ll start you off in the right direction. Then you’ll need a self watering pot, which you can get on Amazon. I like the ones with the little windows in them, so I can see how much water is left in them, or the clear ones where you can totally see all the water in the bottom of the pot. Next, you need some PON, which will be your substrate, and that can be ordered online, as well. Look for the Lechuza brand, which is expensive, but if you use it for other plants, it won’t be as hard on your pocketbook. If you get that far, give me a holler, and I’ll help you out with any remaining questions you might have. I’m glad you’re thinking of using PON as an alternate method of keeping your plants healthy. Once you get it dialed in, I know you will just love it! Good luck!

      Ok thanks I will do that. I also have this. Is it an ok brand or should I get what you suggested?
