Can anyone tell me what this plant is called? I know it looks a bit rough. Someone else was taking care of it And if you have any tips on taking care of it that would be greatly appreciated!!!

It’s a tradescantia, I’d google how to care as it’s not my cup of tea so can’t help with that I’m afraid but I’m sure others on here could.

Agreed it’s a tradescantia! Mine have been super easy to care for. I would pick off any of the damaged leaves and it should produce new growth. I water when it’s pretty dry about once a week ish. They love to hang so I hang them in my sunny windows and it grows like a weed!

You’re welcome! They are super easy to propagate too once it gets crazy and needs a good trim!

It’s a tradescantia nanouk
0 likesIt looks overwatered, lacking light or both. Make sure the pot has drainage holes. Water when completely dry. Place in bright indirect light for 8 - 10 hours. You may need a grow light. I think this Nanouk variety can’t handle full sun like the Tradescantia Purple Heart variety (my favorite). Fertilize with diluted liquid fertilizer once a month in colder months. Good luck 🍀 🪴

I have a couple of these and have propagated a couple! One of my favourites. Does well with bright indirect light. Look up “fantasy Venice” nanouk on the app

I have one from the same family, bright indirect light, constant watering, and monthly fertilizing! I’ve never had any problems with mine so far!
