I am not sure what is going on with this plant. It's seen too dry, then too moist. Now it's on The Dry side, but it's looking not so healthy. However, it does have a new shoot coming out. Do you think it needs transplanting cutting back or what might anyone suggest?

I would move it to a pot that has drainage holes, and water it like normal.

I does have drainage holes. I use a meter tester as well.

With plants, it always gets confusing and misleading as to how much water we think is inside. Usually from the top, if you’ve just watering it, it’s going to look wet, and then after a couple days, the water is just going to make its way deeper into the soil, so it might look dry to us on top, but still wet deeper down. Your plant really doesn’t look that unhealthy. The only thing I would really suggest is maybe a pole of some sort to help it stand up. Do you know what type of plant this is? I might be able to give better advice if I know the plant type.

I believe it to be a peperoni obtusifolia. A type of rubber plant. It does have drainage holes. It has lost many leaves. It may be a good idea to tie it up. It used to look Shiney and happy. Thanks

Rubber plants need a lot of indirect light, and not as much watering. Yes, definitely stand it up ❤️

That looks like a plant I have. It’s a peperomia. I struggled with mine too. I put it in a self watering pot. I check wetness with a moisture meter before watering again though.

Thanks for all the input. I will transplant into a deeper pot so I can put support sticks in and tie it up. Also be very aware when watering
