this is my pothos propagation i’m pretty sure the root has rotted. should i throw out?

    Can you take a picture from the side? That root doesn't look too bad unless it's really mushy. You have a second node that could root as well.

      tbh i was playing around with the root earlier it was mushy it is pretty hard and intact

      not rot. rot is discolored and mushy, and when in water there is visible fungal growth around the rot. perfectly healthy root

      If you were feeling it, there’s a difference between mushy and soft.

    The root looks perfectly fine. Root rot looks like nasty brown mushy rotten material and will be stinky.

    That is a normal root adapted for water. If you plan to put it in soil, do so ASAP. Waiting to long makes it harder to adapt.

      would you say it’s long enough to go into water? i was told about second roots but idk how long they take to come in

      I'd say it's ready. You want at least one inch of root before moving to soil. Just make sure the soil remains damp while the new roots for soil develop
