Air root. Its normal and u can tuck them back into the pot once it starts getting bigger. Otherwise they tend to trail the floor

0 J'aimeaerial root. you can chop them off if you want, it won't hurt the plant. they form because monstera naturally want to climb something, but you don't really have to worry about supports until they're real big.

1 j'aimeThat’s a arial root! It helps the plant latch to trees in the wild and it’s the reason you eventually get a support pole or trellis, it just gives a big plant sturdiness. If you put it back into the soil it becomes a soil root and that’s just another way to get more nutrients to your plant.
