Hi everyone! I am just starting up as a plant keeper and I need some tips to take care of my first plant. Her name is Anastasia and she is a pineapple plant! I keep her on my bedroom windowsill which doesn’t get a lot of sunlight. It’s mostly just light really. Any tips on how to take care of her? Here is a photo:

Is it producing? That’s a really good sign! For mine I follow the apps instructions and I have no problem. Will tell you no light will kill it. I get about 2 to 3 hours of direct light and it’s been fine. I started mine from a pineapple top and it hasn’t produced anything.

I bought this one at b&q just yesterday afternoon and it already had the big pineapple on top - there are some little pups surrounding it and I don’t really know how to remove them and re pot them… it gets lots of natural light throughout the day but hardly any direct sunlight. This is unfortunately the only place I can put it so I’m in a bit of a pickle with this… 🤣 thanks for your comment!

with my old pineapple plant i would put it outside in good light and it did amazing, we would water it every few days and after a few months it would start producing. But do put anastasia in better light bc little to no light will kill her :(

I will try to place her in a more sunny spot tomorrow at some point. Thank you for the advice 😊

Pineapples like it really hot and humid and like full sun. If you don’t have that in your home you can use things like grow lights, humidifiers and heat pads to help!😊
