Can anyone confirm that this is a snake plant? Plants is giving mixed ID, as either a snake plant or a type of Hoya. The leaves do feel a bit thick and waxy so maybe it is a Hoya? I ordered a pet friendly mystery box and this is what I received. If it is a snake plant then it is toxic. I reached out to the company but haven’t yet received a reply. I have a puppy who puts EVERYTHING in his mouth so I need to be extra vigilant. ETA: I took all the helpful information from everyone and searched their website and now I do think it is a Hoya. I will keep it in the garage away from Samwise Potato until the confirm but I’m a bit relieved that it will probably be OK. This will be my first Hoya so I will be super excited to have one!

      Oh thank you. I was so worried that it’s a snake plant but it doesn’t quite look like any snake plant varieties I have researched.

    This looks more like a Hoya than a snake plant to me. That being said, I would keep it away from curious puppies until you hear back from the company 🐶

      This is my Shih Tzu named Samwise Potato! He’s a good boy when he’s not putting stuff in his mouth that he shouldn’t!

      Thank you! I just downloaded a different app and it says Hoya even though planta insists it’s a snake plant. I have a different plant that is a snake plant and it looks nothing like it!

    Sometimes Planta loses its mind 😂 Love my Hoyas not only because I think they’re the prettiest but also because they’re safe!
