i repotted a monstera cobra and pothos albo after i bought them from target a few weeks ago. i used fox farm soil and perlite and ran out of orchid bark. the tips of a few leaves on my cobra are turning yellow. the pothos looks fine but does have some brown tips already. is this due to shock? is it safe to repot with the same soil and just add bark to help with drainage?

I would say that mix is fine, just don’t overwater. Let it get some good sun and only water when the top 2in are dry. Or get a water gauge to help test the moisture. If the bottom is staying wet, you could try to gently lift it out of the pot making sure to keep the root ball intact and add lava rock, peat moss, or orchid bark. But you’re going to want to let it dry out a bit before you do that.

thank you! i was ready to take the soil apart and just mix it again with bark 😅 i forgot to mention i added horticultural charcoal in place of the bark since it’s all i had left. hopefully i won’t have to change anything
