Do you guys think this pot would be too big to move my SOP to? I’d like her to have more space to kind of bulk up and sprout more roots but I don’t really have an in-between size pot right now. I know some plants don’t like too big a pot and some don’t care. Lmk what you guys think! Thank you❤️ (Will be cleaning out the pot first, just repotted the plant that use to live there!)

It should be fine aslong as you repot with a very chunky soil mix and make sure not to overwater.

i wouldn’t repot this plant at all. the pot size looks perfect. i always suggest only repotting if your plant starts to show signs of being pot bound like slowed growth, the soil drying out rapidly and increasingly so, yellowing/dying old leaves, or all the above. repotting is a stressful procedure for a plant so i wait until it’s absolutely necessary

This plant has been in this pot about 2 years and she has not been growing for a bit so that’s why I’m thinking she’s ready for a new pot. This is my 4th string of pearls and I killed the 3 others so I appreciate the advice 😅

if the plant is growing slowly, i would consider other factors first like inadequate lighting, or overwatering, lack of nutrients, etc.. to be clear, i’ve never grown a string of pearls but i am knowledgeable about succulents in general

Is there drainage? If yes than I think it's fine, I agree about making sure not to overwater

If you want a fuller plant, I would repot it and curl your strings around the pot and let them take root. I lightly mist until I see the roots take. I have great luck doing this with all my strings of things. Had a couple SOH I adopted and working on them now.
