Lived on top of cabinet and I couldn’t actually see into the plant. Some stems broke off where the went over edge of pot and some pulled out from soil from weight of plant. That was the side on the edge of cabinet towards sun. Obviously needs repotted, right? Can I just stick nodes into the soil? Any other thoughts?

It probably be needs repotting if it has had one in awhile. It looks like salt deposits have built up took. I recommend repotting to a pot about two inches wider than the diameter of the soil. I would cut up the broken one into sections of about 2 to 3 leaf nodes each. Propagate in water by putting at least one node under water. Cut off leaves under water to prevent rot and water contamination. Fertilize with diluted fertilizer when roots emerge. Plant several rooted cuttings into well draining soil when the root are at least 2 inches. This will start a new pot. 🪴🍀

Thank you! You’ve answered the a questions I had. I will as sorta surprised at the site of things in the pot. I bought it in this pot and didn’t really see down into it well, as it was so thick. After I placed it up on the cabinet and it was doing so well, I never took it down and looked. I should’ve done this, I would’ve caught everything much earlier. Guess I’ll chock this up to a learning experience and what not to do again. Thanks again.

There is nothing wrong with leaving it in place if the plant looks healthy. You did well to grow it without half the leaves yellowing and falling off. This happens a lot with pothos that grow too long without sufficient lighting as the plant wraps around a room. You can add a clip on single plant grow light over it. You still have to address the weight of the vines. They typically attach to structure in the wild. You might consider placing it on a stand with narrow pyramid structure or flat trellis to climb. There are many designs. You can attach the vines with plant/florist Velcro.
