I’ve never found pests on my plants but today I saw this. Can anyone recognize what this is? How should I get rid of it?! 😳 😱 I suspect spider eggs… 😟

You may have spider mites and mealy bugs. Either way, get this plant away from all of your other plants. Pick off or wipe off any bugs or debris you might see. Rinse it under a faucet. Then spray with insecticidal soap and consider using systemic granules moving forward. Closely check any other plant that may have been near it. I wouldn’t return this plant to any area with other plants until it has been clean with no signs of any pests for at least a month.
4 Me gustaYikes! Thank you! It’s quarantine time!
0 Me gustaISO for a long time until you see no more bugs. This will require a repot- most likely a 70% dabbed alcohol swab on areas that have it (do not do the whole plant and make sure to correctly wash the alcohol off because it will kill the plant in no time). When repotting, bake your new soil prior to and let it cool. That way you can kill pests
1 me gustaGood luck!
1 me gustaYou said bake the soil. I have never heard that before. Is that for all new soil your repotting plants with or just special cases?
0 Me gustaI do it with all my plants, I got tired of dealing with pests. Although you need to look at how exactly the soil you are using needs to be sterilized. For example, regular soil, I put in an oven with water covered. For my orchid bark, I let it soak for 72 hours and then boil.
0 Me gustaThank you!!!🙏🏼 😊
