Me too! It is growing under its oldest leaf and my limited knowledge is they increase in side from the middle. But I may be wrong.

SummzYea, it kinda looks like it. Here’s mine (I think it’s the same kind- Tillandsia caput medusae) the left side grew out from the leaf like yours. Congratulations! Air plant growth is always something to celebrate.
