I’m so fed up with the fungus gnats. I’ve been spraying with neem oil for 2 weeks, using sticky traps, and layered with pebbles. I’m ready to try mosquito dunk or beneficial nematodes. Which do you think is better? Or should I continue with the neem oil though slow?

Just water with mosquito dunk soaked water. I make a tea and soak half a dunk in an organza bag floating in a 4 liter jug. It kills all larva and breaks the cycle. Pair it with the yellow sticky traps to get both generations of gnats. I water only with this water and I’m gnat free

You’ll never have them again if u keep up with the routine of just watering with that! It’s great

Idk I’ve had them really bad before and just made sure I wasn’t over watering them 1st, 2nd I cover the top of the soil with cinnamon and neem oil and water that in and 3rd spray down with neem oil. I’ve never tried the mosquitoe bits, If I’ve not been able to get rid of them in a few months I end up just repotting and that’s also a good time to put in a decent amount of cinnamon. I also treat them with a bit of neem spray every two weeks even if I don’t have any fungus gnats, seems to help keep them away!!

I promise no other treatment works better! Once you do the dunks you’ll never look back!

I took my workplaces monstera home to repot but now it has my gnats. I don’t want to bring my bosses plant back riddled with gnats especially in the office so i might have to try the mosquito thing 🫠

I’ve also had success with removing the top 2 inches of soil, letting it dry out, then replacing and watering only with neem oil water

I usually let it completely dry out and then spray neem oil

Mosquito bits, yellow sticky traps, bottom watering and letting the top of your soil dry out a bit will work wonders. This is what I do and it has helped tremendously. I also wipe down my plants without delicate leaves with sexy plant juice every couple weeks to prevent any other pests. Sexy Plant Juice Ingredients: 2 cups water, 1tbsp neem oil, 1tbsp peppermint Castile soap, few drops of 70% isopropyl alcohol. Shake up, spray, and wipe. Hope this helps. ❤️

Do you wipe the leaves or just the thick stalks?

Leaves also. It will make them super shiny. Do not place the plant under a grow light or in direct sunlight for at least 30 minutes after using sexy plant juice.
