Recently bought these, they are still in nursery pots but the monstera feels like it should be repot, any advice on when i should repot these three, would it be ok to repot them an inch or two up in pot size? They are all in 4 inch pots thanks in advance!

If you can see roots coming out of the holes of the nursery pot, it’s time to upgrade! I think the only one that should stay in the nursery pot longer is the one on the right. I wouldn’t go more than 2 inches bigger in diameter or depth. I always wait until the soil is dry to repot because you’ll want to give them a really good watering after transferring!

Leave them a few weeks depending on how long ago you bought them to settle! If the roots are coming out then Id repot but I like to keep my monsteras in a tighter pot. Also, I repot into nursery pots and put those into their own decorative pots with leca/gravel at the bottom so I dont get root rot 👐🏻.

I never decide on pot size till I take them out of the nursery pot. Sometimes it’s “wow look at all the roots”. And sometimes it’s “what happened?”. I’ve actually placed new plants in smaller pots than what they came in cause the root system was so small.

I do the same!!!! Have two Alocasia, one bigger with less foliage but it was root bound in its nursery pot and the other an inch shorter, more new growth and it stayed in the same pot bc the roots were too small for my liking. It depends entirely on the plant and how it wants to behave

I always let my plants adjust for at least a week or two before repotting to let them adjust to their new environment.
