Look great so far! Welcome! 🫶🏻

0 Me gustai can't tell if that's an alocasia or a syngonium in the back of the first pic, but either way they're more susceptible to spider mites and root rot, so watch out. for your monstera, they love to climb & high humidity. even a plastic pole and some plant velcro will give you a boost in growth & fenestrations. golden pothos are hardy and will grow pretty much anywhere, but a good mist every now and again keeps them shiny and growing quicker. misting your incoming leaves on your monstera & mystery plant back there will help them unfurl faster & help prevent tearing or damage to the new leaf. happy planting!! hope your babies grow huge!!!
1 me gustaps- variegated monstera, like yours, tend to be prone to root rot as well, but unvariegated monsteras are tougher. they may also be prone to dry tips on the leaves, but misting can help that. be sure not to mist too much, though, as they can be fussy.
1 me gustaThank you so much this really helped me
1 me gustayou are very welcome :-)
0 Me gustaVery pretty plants! I’d recommend a humidifier near the alocasia and the monstera. Monsteras love humidity. Plants actually exhibit signs of stress when moving into our homes because it’s a new environment for them so try to not change too much at once for them, but eventually, I highly recommend clear hard plastic pots so you can see if the soil is wet and see their root system.
1 me gustaHow soon should I change them into new pots?
0 Me gustaPlants like to stay in smaller pots until they grow. Then only go up an inch in diameter on the new pot. 😊
0 Me gustaI usually wait about a month and then repot in the same size pot but in a clear pot. And then from there once the root systems push out the bottom of the drain holes is usually an indicator that it’s ready for the next size up.
0 Me gustaNever apologize! all of us started out as plant parents at one time! We’re happy to help! I’d suggest to get a clear plastic pot and match the same size pot that it came in unless it was root bound when you bought it. The reason is because if it’s too large the roots will rot so it’s probably better in the long term to change it now. I like to place a layer of chunky mix soil in the bottom to further prevent root rot. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask! 😊
0 Me gustaVery cute, but look a that Leon 😍
