Just wondering what you guys did with your trailing/vining plants when they are getting to be too long for your space? I would feel bad throwing the vines away so I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas 💡 🌿

I like to propagate my cuttings and add them back to the original plant once they get roots.

0 likesYou could also compost them and turn them into fertilizer to go back into your plants pot, it takes a while and a little bit of space and research but you would basically just throw them into a bucket for 4-5 months
1 likeThat’s a good idea!
1 likeFeeling bad about throwing them out is why i have 5 full pots of purple heart spiderwort🫣 and 4 more propagations going😬😒🙄😆😆
1 likeYep I have a few propagation plants already too which is why I needed another method🤣
1 likeI propagate and then plant them and usually give them away as gifts lol
1 likeThis would be cute too especially with spring coming!
1 likeYeah! People honestly appreciate it because it’s thoughtful haha know you grew something for them and didn’t just buy it (not that that is bad lol)
0 likesI propagate and make a new plant or I take the trailing stem and loop it around the top soil so the nodes take root, then it gets fuller at the base which I like. I temporarily pin it to keep it in place and/or add a bit of soil if needed.
