Lauren’s Plants

Just wondering what you guys did with your trailing/vining plants when they are getting to be too long for your space? I would feel bad throwing the vines away so I was just wondering if you guys had any ideas 💡 🌿

I like to propagate my cuttings and add them back to the original plant once they get roots.

I did this to start. When they got full on the bottom, I started trellising to manage. Now, It’s just madness. I should prune but I simply don’t want to!

You could also compost them and turn them into fertilizer to go back into your plants pot, it takes a while and a little bit of space and research but you would basically just throw them into a bucket for 4-5 months

I propagate and then plant them and usually give them away as gifts lol

This would be cute too especially with spring coming!

Yeah! People honestly appreciate it because it’s thoughtful haha know you grew something for them and didn’t just buy it (not that that is bad lol)

I propagate and make a new plant or I take the trailing stem and loop it around the top soil so the nodes take root, then it gets fuller at the base which I like. I temporarily pin it to keep it in place and/or add a bit of soil if needed.
