clairabotanicamore light! he seems happy but if you want a fuller/bushier appearance he needs more light. in general, plants get bushy by producing lots of leaves in a short time span and light is the best way to encourage that leaf growth. think of it this way, if the plant is in a higher light location it wants to make sure it absorbs as much of that light as possible by making tons of leaves. in lower light the leaf growth will be more few and far between because the plant isn't able to absorb as much light and will want to spend less energy on new leaves.

This was very helpful!!! Thank you so much. A little while ago, I had it right next to my window and the leaves seemed to turn a little brown on the underside or look like they were “burnt”. Is that normal?

chinese money plants cannot handle direct sun, so the browning you're describing could be sun scorching if the window received direct sunlight. he needs bright indirect light, so a few feet away from a sunny window where there is bright light but he isn't catching direct rays is what you want! you can also supplement with grow lights if you want more growth without moving him.
