HELP please :) Anyone having an issue with plants over scheduling fertilizing and watering? I’ve had to delay watering a few times because a particular pot wasn’t draining well - but it looks like planta doesn’t dynamically push back the fertilizing cycles to match. Since I use water fertilizer I’ve now got a water fertilizing phase and a water phase back to back. Does anyone know A fix for this? Shouldn’t liquid fertilizer just be spaced apart from watering - just replacing a watering cycle occasionally?

It has happened to me also. If you snooze a plant several times, one task will catch up with the other. When you mark the fertilizer task as done, the water task will go away.

Thanks for the response - good to know it’s just me - this is a pretty big bug in the system :(

I think I killed my oregano from over fertilizing last month. I double check the last time i fertilize before doing so now because of what happened.

Sore to hear about your oregano - yes I think I’ve hurt a few of my plants the same way blindly following this :/

Matt, I have killed many non-killable plants since 2019 when I began trying to grow stuff, and that was with and without a full subscription here. Skip what the app says about fertilizing schedules. IF any plant is going to receive fertilizer (liquid or dissolvable kinds) then always follow the less is more philosophy. Also known as “A little goes a very long way.” And remember plants only like food when they are in growing season. If you live in the northern hemisphere of this world than December and January are definitely out. You never fertilized during those months. Break out further November and February are probably out. Back it up more October and March are out depending on how close to the equator you are. That leaves April through September you might want to give the tiniest bit of food in the water. An empty plastic gallon of milk, juices, or water with a pinch of food is more than enough food. I tend to not put the pinch in my gallon jug but instead half a pinch into watering can with the water from the jug. And if it’s liquid food I give half a pump into the watering can and then fill it with the water. Half a pump may be too much too sometime. When watering outdoor plants with the stuff I have to dissolve if the water is coming out blue out of the watering can then it’s way too much fertilizer that I’ve added and I keep diluting it diluting it diluting it until it doesn’t come out as blue. Your pathos needs very little, if any, fertilizer ever.

These are my two big boy pathos bushes. Most of the time I just put them in the shower and let them get all soaking wet. Nothing more.

Oh and they are very forgiving if I haven’t watered them in 60 to 90 Days.

As you delay the waterings and everything with the snooze button it slowly adjusts the plants watering schedule one or two days at a time based on plant and pot size, where you have them, etc. When you have a water task one day and a liquid fertilizer task the next or vice versa it’s just because snoozing watering doesn’t impact the fertilizer date until you actually complete a watering or fertilizing. When you do either one it will adjust both because liquid fertilizer is treated as a full watering and will adjust your actual watering schedule with that. I have a baby plant in a 1.5” pot and planta wants me to water it daily and then fertilize it every 6 days. It doesn’t need that frequently for either and so when I snooze the watering and then complete the fertilizing instead, the care adjusts and now the plant is water every other day and fertilize every 14 days. You just have to look into the upcoming tasks, current tasks, and history to see how the care schedule changes as you snooze and complete tasks. Even doing a mist early can sometimes push a watering off a whole day because of the moisture planta expects you to have
