Hi this year I really want my plants to thrive I’ve seen so many contradictory things online how do I know what to believe? For example I’ve seen you should take your plants in the shower for humidity is this true?

lyssxgardenssome definitely benefit from hanging around while you take a shower!!! i’ve done it with my philodendrons and it’s helped some of the stunted growth since i’ve gotten them :) i don’t have too high of humidity in my home so i sometimes find leaves stuck in the sheath and started bringing them with me 🤣

This app is super good and is actually full plant owners/growers who speak from experience and with facts! If you have any questions I’d just ask this page. Most things are also trial and error!

RhusI've also seen a lot of contradictory things online, and I agree sometimes it's hard to know what to trust. I tend to go for sources whose businesses would fail if they gave bad advice, like specific youtubers with a somewhat established brand, nurseries, plant shops, etc... I also really like university extension articles online. I read social media posts in obscure forums where people get really nerdy about their plants, as well, and I find that to be helpful for really specific things (like how do I grow this one anthurium hybrid, rather than how do I know when to water)
