The plant in the image appears to be a type of Peperomia, likely Peperomia obtusifolia, also known as the baby rubber plant or pepper face. It is known for its thick, glossy leaves and is relatively easy to care for. Here are some tips to help it thrive: 1. **Light:** Peperomias prefer bright, indirect light. They can tolerate lower light conditions, but avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves. Placing it near a window with filtered light or in a well-lit room is ideal. 2. **Watering:** Let the soil dry out between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so make sure the pot has good drainage. Water it thoroughly, allowing excess water to drain away, and then wait until the top inch of soil feels dry before watering again. 3. **Humidity & Temperature:** Peperomias enjoy moderate humidity and do well in average room temperatures. You can mist the plant occasionally to increase humidity, especially during winter when indoor air tends to be drier. 4. **Soil & Potting:** Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a cactus or succulent mix, or a mix of regular potting soil with added perlite. The pot should have drainage holes to prevent water from pooling. 5. **Fertilizing:** During the growing season (spring and summer), feed your plant with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half-strength every month. Reduce feeding in the fall and winter when the plant’s growth slows. With proper care, your Peperomia should stay lush and healthy. If you notice any yellowing leaves or mushy stems, it might be due to overwatering or poor drainage.

Definitely a marbled peperomia obtusifolia. I’ve got two of them, if you’d like to use one for comparison to yours to confirm. Hope this helps!

Could be a pepperface too😂 when you go to "add plant" type in baby rubber plant. It will bring up a whole bunch of different kinds and you can decide which one yours looks the most like.
