SOS I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING!!!!! I started taking care of plants as a way of therapy. Well go figure everything is dying under my care and I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. Even with this apps help. I’m adding some photos below so maybe yall can help. 😞 My plants get as much sun as my balcony allows it too. Honestly my Canna lily might be the worst off and the second worst off is probably my Lavender. Both fertilized on 6/5.

I’m going to go with too much light. How much light are they getting? Luke how many hours per day? And then how often are you watering? You can do this! I use ChatGPT a lot for these things too!

When in doubt with plants, you need to look at four things: light, water, soil and potential pest issues. With your Canna lilies, they are moisture loving tropical plants and require consistent water; that would be my guess for the drooping leaves. I think plant schedules are great reminders but the best way to track your watering is by sticking your finger in the soil to see whether it’s wet or dry. If it’s wet, leave it alone. If it’s dry, water deeply with a tray underneath it and leave it be for thirty minutes so the roots can soak up as much water as they want before you dump the rest out. Might be struggling from too much direct light causing the browning or potentially spider mites that you would need to treat if you spot any. For the lavender, they are the opposite. It’s a mediterranean herb that HATES “soggy feet”. Allow it to dry out between watering and make sure it’s in well-draining soil in a sunny spot. The other plants seem to be doing okay, but I would read up on the needs they have individually for all four plants to make the best plan for attack. Good luck! Every hobby takes time to learn and continue to grow, I used to kill my plants a lot three years ago when I didn’t know what I was doing. I have faith that you’ll do a good job with them because you care so much, and remember that it’s okay if you have to start again; don’t get discouraged! You can save your plants as they currently are :) Last note; always be wary of root rot. I would read up on it so you’re familiar with the signs of it because it can happen swiftly and viciously.

To add a bit more detail about the Canna Lilies, if you're feeling confident, you might consider switching it to semi-hydroponics. This could be an exciting change that might help your plant thrive!

Get a small bag of gravel & mix with other soil, ( mostly gravel), they don’t like plain soil and will die. I made that mistake when propagating some lavender.

Also, you’re doing everything right. Learning is part of why it helps as therapy. Enjoy the struggle!
