My pothos plant started drooping a few days ago. I watered it 2 days ago and the soil is now completely dry down to the bottom of the pot. Any ideas on the cause?

Is it getting enough sunlight?
0 LikesI think so! It’s getting bright, indirect light. Although, it has been rainy/cloudy the past week

0 LikesIn my experience… Clay pots dry out faster. It just looks like it needs more water. I’d put water in a sink or bowl, set the pot in it.. allow the clay pot to soak (approx. 15 mins) in moisture and the plant will drink from the bottom holes at the same time. Also, the white residue in your pot, is mineral deposits from your water. Try using rain or filtered room temp water.

1 LikeActually I use nothing but distilled water on all my plants, and the clay pots still get the mineral deposits. So I think it’s from the soil.
