Anyone know why this little guy is growing some roots way up high as well as a new shoot (growing up the side of the glass)? In a terrarium, which it seems to like a lot, but I was just curious why it’s started to grow like this.

More moisture on the side of the glass? Lol, I'm just guessing, but looks like it.

좋아요 1개(I read about these last night...) Selaginella lives on shady forest floors and uses those roots to anchor and spread. They stay short, only a few inches tall, but they can get 18" wide.
좋아요 1개Oh wow, so I might need a short and wide terrarium at some point
좋아요 1개That's what I was thinking as well! I'm looking at the 27" Akerbar from Ikea. I was thinking Selaginella, a nerve plant, and some carnivorous plants. 🤔
