Hey everyone! I just purchased two new plants a few days ago. And this morning I noticed the lighter green guy had a bug flying around him. Both of the new plants have these weird dots/holes and now I’m worried that they’re infested with something and that it’ll spread to my other two healthy plants. I’m still very new to plant care, but decided after having my other two for over a year that it was time for more. However, I’m starting to worry that this was a bad choice haha If anyone has any thoughts on what I should do it’d be greatly appreciated!! Thanks so much :)

I would spray it and your other two plants down with water to get all of the insects off & as a precautionary and then spray them down with an insecticide spray. You can make one homemade if you don’t have one on hand already.

Spray your leaves off with water with nozzle really good then let them dry then treat your plants with neem oil.. it looks like a fungal issue from a fungus nat from overwatering or your soil is staying too wet in between watering

Both plants have good drainage!! A fungus gnat from overwatering would make so much sense. I purchased both plants this past Saturday, and the top few inches of soil are still quite moist

um r u sure thats a neon and not a marble queen or golden? it seems to have variegated white spots instead of the lime green neons usually do mb that might js be a bad photo

No you’re probably totally right. The label it had said it was a neon, however I was seeing a lot of mixed things when I google imaged it. Thank you for pointing this out :)
