From the image, it looks like your plant may be affected by scale insects. These small, round bumps are common on plant stems and leaves, and they can be harmful to the plant by sucking its sap. The scales create a protective covering, which makes them difficult to remove. To manage them, you can try gently scraping them off or using a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to rub the areas where the scales are located. If the infestation is large, horticultural oil or insecticidal soap might be necessary to get rid of them.

I finally recently got rid of the scale on my BOP. I did the natural treatment first with insecticide and a tool to scrape them off. I had to resort to a pesticide though because I cut couple struggling leaves off one day and found tons of scale hiding deep inside the stem fold where I was unable to spray well or scrape them off.
