I feel like my Yucca Plant doesn’t appear it’s doing well, online says it should remain upright but it’s droopy. I don’t overwater and it’s placed about 2 meters in front of my large living room windows. Any suggestions? Thank you 💖

Are you sure that’s a Yucca? I don’t think it is. The following is a pic of Yucca, leaves on a Yucca are generally sharp, pointed and grow off one main clump.

I agree with JenThon. Not sure what your plant looked like when you first bought it, but these leaves appear healthy IF this were a different plant, say a Dracaena lisa. Or maybe this is a specific Yucca variety whose leaves aren't as stiff/thick. What was its appearance in the store?

Heyyy yes it’s definitely a Yucca, maybe the picture isn’t great but it’s growing off a main clump, when I bought it, initially the leaves were pointed and sword like but it’s drooping.. I don’t know what else to do. Thank you Xx

I would check the roots. I had one that went like this and it turned out the soil was so compact it wasn’t soaking up any water. After a repot it recovered well! Otherwise could be under watered.

More light! Plants like to have a wide view of the sky.

I’ve moved it now, so when I’m at work it’ll get more sunlight. Xx

Nice! I’m sure it will appreciate that! Now just make sure that when you water it you absolutely soak it. Like put it in a bath and let it soak for about an hour. But then let it dry out completely before watering it again.

Well then, as a Yucca, it needs even more light. I would suggest a floor plant light, If you look, some are very stylized like floor lamps, so would blend with the decor. And they have timers so you can supplement on a schedule.

That’s a really good idea, I’ll have a look online. I live in UK so winter months there isn’t much daylight sun. Thank you. X
