This is my first time using a moss pole. I have my Philodendron Splendid on it hoping to get bigger leaves. I got a lot of my products and ideas from watching Fern on YouTube. Any advice is really appreciated.

Oh I love Fern. I was literally just watching her YT on Alocasia Stingrays! It looks good!

0개 좋아요It's a lady who has a YouTube channel about plants. I believe WildFern is her name on there

0개 좋아요Your pole looks great… Good job! However, in looking at the two lower leaves of your philo, I’m noticing some obvious spots on the lower left leaf, and on the right leaf, some very faint spots right within the green of the leaf. I’m very familiar with black spot, and I wonder if this could be a future problem for you and your plant? Perhaps, some of the other Planta members can take a close look at these leaves, and comment on this. I hope it’s nothing more than a damaged leaf!…🤗💚🪴

I did receive the plant pretty damaged. I have inspected it and there is no pests thankfully. There are some holes. The new growth at the top seems to be doing well. Thank you for pointing that out though!

좋아요 1개oh dang i just noticed you wove this vine behind the plastic. you want the roots to go into the moss, but having the vine itself pressed between plastic and damp moss will rot it — i hate to say it but i would start over (or at least cut those bands of plastic away)
