Hello everyone, I’ll be gone for two weeks in July and I’m looking for tips on how to water my plants when I’m not there. The plants I’m concerned about are my monstera, my baby bird of paradise, my pothos and my pilea. They all have growing lights. The others are succulents so I really think they’ll be fine. Do those self watering inserts work without overwatering the plants? Or is two weeks fine to wait to water them? Any suggestions will be highly appreciated! 🤗

    1. Give everything a deep soak before you leave 2. You can reduce the length of time that your grow lights are on. Less light duration will reduce water needs. 3. Self watering inserts could help keep the plants from fully drying out. You’ll just need to test it before hand. Monstera and pothos are pretty hardy. They can handle a one week dry spell and should be able to bounce back. GL!

I'm sure this crossed your mind, but if you have another friend into plants you can ask them to come over and water once in the middle of your vacation, then return the favor when they're out of town! :)
