Calatheas get such a bad rap in the plant community, but they are officially the comeback queens IMO šš¾āāļøš. Thatās my medallion on the left, and in my hand is what was left of my illustris - both now growing new leaves and battling their way back from being decimated by thrips earlier this year.
Iāve been growing two in semi hydro leca for over a year now and they are still rolling right along. They hate the winter but always bounce right back in the spring and I honestly do nothing to help them š
