Hey all! Unfortunately my new plants (sweet mint & rosemary) were bought infected with thrips. Theyāre not very big and donāt have a lot of growth, but I aggressively removed infected/damaged leaves anyway. I was advised that dish soap (dawn), neem oil, and hydrogen peroxide (3%) is a good mix for getting rid of these guys, and so far so good! I actually donāt have neem oil on hand, so itās just dawn and hydrogen peroxide, but it seems to be doing the trick. My next spray mixture will have neem oil in it, I was just desperately trying to get a head of these pests because it seemed like they did a lot of damage just over night. My partner and I canāt see many, if any, adults left on the plants as Iāve been misting them 1-2 times a day and physically wiping off areas that seemed like hotspots. Iāve also been misting the soil with the mix just in case thereās eggs/larva. Anyway, is there anything else I could be or should be doing? What about prevention for the future? Iām worried that they might die because I bought and repotted them 6 days ago, so theyāve already been through a lot of stress. The sweet mint was literally growing like a weed for the first 3 days before I noticed the damage on the leaves. But it felt like a trade off between constant damage over time from thrips, or a bit of damage/stress from treatment and leaf removal to get rid of them quickly and letting the plant heal after. I read eggs/larva can get into the soil so that protects them from the mix, so thatās why Iāve continued to mist them at least once a day to keep those from turning into more breeding adults. When would I repot these guys to give them fresh, pest free soil, or is repotting not necessary if all of the thrips are dead? Would I rinse off/soak the roots in water as well? Iād be worried about breakage since they have thin roots, but I repotted them with the soil they came with + adding well draining soil in the surrounding areas since these pots are bigger than what they were in, so Iām wondering about how deep thrip infestation can be. Thank you all!
Hello, please help me to understand what are these small white dots on my plants

Hi all, I have fungus gnats. Iāve been using mosquito bit tea to get rid of them and it is slowly working. But I have a few questions about it. Can I add my liquid fertilizer to my tea? I use Superthrive. My plants havenāt been āfedā in a month. Also, is it safe to touch the bits or even the dunks with my hands? I threw in a pic of some of my plants just cause.
My baby is sick and I donāt know what else to do. I repotted it three weeks ago because the edges of some leaves were getting dry and leaves were drooping. I put it then in a terracotta pot with drainage. I still see more leaves drying up so I tried bottom watering but with the terracotta it was spewing soil from the 1in diameter hole in the bottom of the pot. I watered from the top some too. Then left it til the soil was dry. Today, I noticed these brown spots on the leaves. I repotted to a plastic clear pot with drainage to see the roots and continued to bottom water. What do you suggest I do from here? Itās got three new furling leaves at least but I donāt want to further damage the foliage. Help please. Thanks in advance

Whatās happening to my spider plants? Theyāre both growing at a fast rate (my baby is no longer a baby anymore! Heās catching up to his sister in size!) but they both have just a couple leaves with these brown markings? As well as brown tips? I donāt think itās anything to do with watering as Iāve been keeping good track of it, the only thing I can think of is sunburn? As theyāre both in a south facing window with direct sunlight and this has only happened over the last day or so (when weāve had a bit more sunshine) so Iām thinking itās that? Should I just move them to a less direct place and see if that helps? Any advice welcome:)

My prayer plant looks good, however each time I go to water it the soil reads, āwetā on the moisture meter. What should I do? Just put it on snooze? I feel like itās wet every time. There is no water coming out from drainage hole so itās not like itās sitting in water. Thanks for any advice! :)
