Does anybody know what’s wrong with my sweet potato. Could it be the decrease in temperature because my room gets very cold?

Hey guys! Does anyone know what these white scratch/bump looking things on my ghost plant are or if they’re a problem? Could they be from too much sun? I’ve had fungus gnats but I’ve finally gotten rid of most of them. Ik those eat dead plant material though and my plant is very much alive. I make SUPER sure not to overwater her. I’ve been using some neem oil mixed into their water for months which has helped with the gnats & the plants seem to love it. She seems happy overall despite the marks & gnats. The marks have only shown up in the past couple weeks. If anyone knows what it is, what causes it, if it’s a problem, & if so, how to fix it please lmk! My husband bought me this Bird of paradise obviously as a rehab plant lol. I’m guessing this is root rot? Any other guesses as to what this could be before I repot? Also, what are your best treatment plans with handling something like this?

Help! I’m not sure what’s browning my wee white cedar I know I need to repot her but wanted to diagnose her before

I woke up today to a new leaf that opened on my bird of paradise, however the top part of the leaf did not open and now the leaf is split and I don’t know what to do.

Hello! Anyone have ideas on why my monstera recently developed these black spots on just one of the main leaves? Overall the plant is doing well & i inspected for pests but didn’t find any. I let her dry out between watering & she’s been in the same spot for a year & a half so lighting hasn’t changed. Thanks in advance!!

I’ve recently moved house and in the messiness of life, some of my plants have paid the price. My tradescantia nanouk is one of these. It was left in a dark space near a radiator (I know 🤦🏻) and lost all its colour and started to go crispy. I’ve repositioned it in the loft room under a skylight, hoping that the light will be better - it’s been a few weeks and it’s looking a bit healthier but the colour hasn’t returned on new leaves. Any advice on how I can help it recover? Or should I trim it back to the coloured bits and start again?

Hey guys I watered this dragon fruit cactus two weeks ago and it instantly got brown limp and mushy. I got it semi-abused so to speak but I’ve given it dryyyyyy soil and bright sun and it just keeps declining. It might look okay but it’s mushy, brown, stems breaking and leaking water and they won’t stay up straight. Help!

Does anyone know how to save my cactus , it’s unseasonably cold in Austin Tx!

I need help with my ZZ! Over the past 4-5 months I’ve lost many of her smaller stems. I water every 3-4 weeks and she gets lots of light through a west facing bathroom window. I repotted from an 8 to a 10 inch pot a couple month ago because I thought she was too cramped. Roots looked good to me. Now another stem just turned yellow and I see yellowing starting on leaves on even another stem. BUT there is new growth for the first time in forever (3 new stems coming). What’s happening?? Also- what’s the best way to remove the stem once the leaves fall?

Got any tips for taking care of indoor spiderplants over the winter? I've been having trouble.

Ugh! My corn plant has some kind of pest. I do not see anything moving, all of the tips are brown, there’s white eggs everywhere but I don’t see anything. I’m not sure if they’re spider mites or gnat eggs. Please help!

I’m fighting the second battle in a protracted war with orange aphids. They appeared again at three weeks. I used insecticidal soap after knocking most of them off with a garden hose the first time. I used ant spray this time paying attention to applying it under the leaves where some were hiding. This is the only plant with aphids. This Hoya Multiflora lives up to its name by continually putting out flowers. There are several peduncles in bloom. New growth is very attractive to aphids.

Hi everyone! Can anyone help me with my Philodendron ‘Green Emerald’? I brought her from Montana and was green and full of leaves (6 months ago). She use to get filtered sunlight in my home (about 4 hours a day and in window) but was starting to get yellow leaves. I moved her under a grow light (12 hours a day) but just kept getting worse. I watered with hydrogen peroxide to make sure the roots aren’t rotting. But I’m not sure what else to do. Any thoughts? Thanks!

My satin pothos’ leaves are turning yellow, curling, and dropping. Her vines have grown super long but no new leaves. Worried about her, and she’s over two years old. I repotted her last month, has drainage, not sure what kind of sun she needs, I’ve read a lot of mixed sunlight recs, some say shady others say their pothos love direct sunlight. Hi! I’m new to this app, looking for other houseplant nerds like me, but ones who actually know what they’re doing haha. I have had this monstera fern for over four years now, she used to grow fast, healthy, new leaves, but now she has stopped any new growth and has started to yellow and brown at tips. I’ve had to cut off several completely yellow leaves too. I repotted her over the past month to a larger ceramic pot with drainage, she had no root rot when I repotted but I was surprised by the small size of the root mass (for four years I was thinking it’d be a lot larger). I have her facing an east window, but I’m worried this is too much sun. Please Let me know what I can do to save her and help her, she’s my baby. My best friend in highschool gave her to me so she’s very important😭🌱🩷 Thank you soooo much!!! xoxo Katie
