Fungus Gnats! Hi, so a while ago my boyfriend and I started to notice fungus gnats in one of his plants. and he bought some Neem Oil spray after it started to get pretty bad which seemed to knock em all out - my plant, Cherri, had very few showing up on the traps I had bought so I didn't use it. At her previous watering (a bit late) I noticed some more showing up and gave her a good spritz and replaced the trap - I also made my own trap to the side with some sugar water and dishsoap (no apple cider vinegar as we were out). A few days ago I gave her a light spritz as it had been over a week, and I left her in her spot and went a bit longer before watering her today (4 days late). When I watered her this morning I noticed a lot more on the sticky trap, so I sprayed her again halfway through watering then after finishing up I noticed a bunch of tiny little baby gnats crawling around (I also think I should note that the water which drained out of the drainage hole was yellow in color and idk what that means). Do I need to repot her again? Replace the soil? I'm really trying my best here and I don't want to lose her as she's doing SO good with new leaf sprouts.

Help please!! One of our monstera’s had an aerial root that was reaching towards the ground but has now begun rotting at the end. Boyfriend cut it off clean last night and then it rotted at the end again. Any tips/advice are appreciated!!

This paddle jade plant is sun scorched I think or over watered one. I don’t know. But it’s lost alot of leaves. Can i cut the stem and bury it to propagate new growth or should i just give up? Any suggestions? My diffenbachia has the same problem. Should i move them both back inside off the patio? It gets full sun for the afternoon but not the whole day.

Hello! I just planted these little Shamrock Clover bulbs two months ago. My friend’s plant was very sparse, too. I have it in south window that also has east and west windows. Does it just need time? It is still cool at night. Soil is damp, not soaking. Thank you for advice. I am new to house plants.

Is this from overwatering? I just got this thai con monstera and noticed this. The soil seemed very damp when I bought it.

Hi all! I’ve had this money tree for ~2 years or so and the past few months her leaves just haven’t looked so happy. They get dry and papery and brown tips/spots (I’ve pruned many of them but they still grow back like that, as you can see in the pics). I thought it might be a lack of humidity, so I started putting her in the bathroom when I take a shower and even set her next to a humidifier some days but I haven’t seen much change. I staked her back in February because she was starting to resemble the leaning tower of Pisa and I’m careful to keep all the ties lose so she can grow. She does have new growth at the top (pics included) but the rest of the leaves just seem… unhappy. Sorry for the LONG description. Would greatly appreciate any insight/tips/ideas/recs — THANK YOU!!💜

Has anyone else been dealing with a full on battle against spider mites on their outdoor plants? I cleaned out my gutters, & BOOM! Spider mites everywhere!!! Finally, I have gotten them mostly under control thanks to Paige Tailyn Johnson's sexy plant juice spray & neem oil! I wanted to share the recipe here, because as a somewhat new plant parent (a year & a half ish) it's been so easy to not even think about protecting my plants from pests because I've never dealt with them before! This spray is not only a good mite killer, but also a leaf cleaner! Sexy plant juice spray recipe: 2 cups of water 2 tbsp of neem oil 1 tbsp of peppermint Castile soap 1 tbsp of isopropyl alcohol (70%) (Updated recipe! I originally said 2 tbsps of soap & alcohol, but that was incorrect; & Paige also says 70% isopropyl alcohol, but I've been using 90%) (Previously id been using the spray bottle of neem oil for my sexy spray, but I think the concentrated works much better!) I hope this will help some plant parents out there protect their plants better, & I also can't recommend following Paige's plant tips! (Not sponsored I swear I just love her)

Can anyone tell me why my Alocasia is doing this!? I have had her for a new months and recently repotted her into a chunky soil mix that she seemed fine in for a while. I recently went out of town and left her sitting by a window with bright indirect light. She I got back she had a couple small brown spots on a few leaves so I moved her away from the window. It has been a few days but now one of her leaves looks like this. Help.

Help! My calathea orbifolia is starting to show yellowing on its bigger leaves and is losing its vibrant coloring. The new leaves look good, and it’s even got a bunch of new ones coming in. I water according to Planta and it’s in a north facing window with a grow light about a 1.5 ft away. Always distilled water and a small amount of fertilizer. I’ve got it in a super chunky mix (soil, perlite, bark) plus some peat moss for a bit more water retention. Most of my calatheas seem to be loving that mix but not sure about this one. Is this overwatering or is there something I’m not seeing? Thanks!

Brought this cow crippler home about a week ago from a greenhouse. It was in full sun for a few days (70-85 degrees outside at the max, 45 at the lowest). Just noticed these black spots- is this sunburn? Something else?

My husband says it’s dead This is my palm, Lorna. She’s suffered as it’s been a very dark winter. I’m not willing to give up on her and I think there’s still a chance to revive her What do you think? What would you do?

I purchased a large White Strelitzia 6 months ago, I am noticing the leaves are splitting, browning, and curling a fair amount. I also have Mealybugs, ants, and aphids on the leaves which I clean off regularly and treat with a pesticide. More recently I’ve seen small white centipede like insects flushing out of the pot into the catchment tray. It is still growing new leaves but they appear to be smaller than its predecessor. It receives 8 hours of sunlight and watered and fertilised on schedule. Any tips?

I just got this palm around Easter and idk why the tips are yellowing/browning. The soil drains nicely I’m wondering if it’s not holding enough water? Bc it’s dry after a day…

Any idea what this could be from? Looks like some kind of webbing. I found it under the bark mulch at the base of my swamp milkweed. I live in Colorado. Thank you!
