Hi Planties! I have a big beautiful split leaf philodendron that was gifted to me by a close friend. When I first got it last spring I noticed it was infested with Scales. (As seen in photo) I treated the whole plant with neem oil and it seemed to help a lot. But now that spring is back around I noticed the scales are also in season:( does anyone have any tips on ridding my plant of these bugs for good?

Hi everyone! I was going to water my Chinese money plant when I noticed these in the back of 2 leaves. They’re not bugs but seem like crusting embedded in the bottom side of the leaf. Do anyone know what this is or the cause of it? Thank you!

I’ve read on here how tricky majesty palms are… I have sprayed this with neem oil many times, I let it dry out and then water it until the water drains out the bottom, I have checked for mealy bugs, I am unsure of what else to do… I’ve had it for about 6 months and it just slowly turns more orange. I also bought it from Home Depot. any ideas of what could be wrong???

Should I get rid of the springtails in my plant? It’s in my bedroom and they only live in the moist soil of my ivy plants. They don’t seem to be doing harm but it creeps me out a bit. This app tells me to water my ivy plants every 5 days which I feel is too much. They are in my window but the soil stays damp always. However they are thriving and growing. Should I water my plants less and get rid of the springtails or keep it how it is?

hi, i’m a little worried about my pothos, her leaves look pretty healthy but the top of the soil looks rough. does this look like mold or just roots at the top? If it’s mold, any advice on what I should do?

Hey there! My poinsettia is not looking the best. Yellowing leaves, droopy leaves, and brown areas surrounding the leaves. Any suggestions as to what is causing this and how to help her? Planta said she is not getting enough sunlight, and the humidity is low, and to mist her. I have her sitting in my kitchen on the counter about 5 feet away from a window that provides sun for 5-6 hours a day or more on sunnier days. The sunniest room is also right next to the kitchen area where she is. HELP!

My plants pot that is made of wood is starting to get termites… is it as easy as only using ceramic pots to avoid this ?

Alright so my daughters cat got up in her windowsill and got bored… twice now. It has had two leaves for the past month up until yesterday. It was doing great before Rosie decided to be a jerk. Luckily the jerk just chewed the leaves off and didn’t eat them. So she’s fine. The dragon tree… not so much. Any way it could pull through? My 8 year old is hopeful, but I’m not so sure. Thoughts? Suggestions? Plant graveyard? 😅🤷🏼‍♀️

The soil is retaining water for a long time in this metal mug, should I change the soil to something like succulent/cactus soil so it’ll dry between watering or is this not an issue? Should I just just water less? I’m new to plants but I’ve heard root rot or bugs can be an issue. Thanks for any advice!

I have no picture because I sprayed them all off, but my Bird’s Nest Fern has scale. I prayed them off with water, and then sprayed the whole plant with neem oil. Will this be effective!? 😖 bugs!

If I cut all of the leaves off of a polka dot begonia will it grow new ones? Or do the canes need leaves? The leaves got damaged but the roots are fine
