I repotted this clipping of a Calathea on Saturday. I dont know anything about them but it had a full root system and has been under a grow light since I brought it home. I moved him into my bathroom today as I read the humidity from showers can help with the curl (its been getting worse). Any thoughts would be appreciated as he's brand new and I dont want to have to throw him away!!!!

Hello all! I got this Money Tree a couple months ago and I can't tell if I'm just being a worry wart or if she's looking a little down right now. I'm newer to this whole plant keeping thing and just wanted to make sure she's doing alright. She was bought from a Costco (I think?) and came with the little holes and rips in her leaves unfortunately, otherwise I haven't seen any yellowing, crisping or dropping of leaves since I took the rubber band off her base. Other sources have said that it's normal for her to look a little droopy in the winter but I thought I'd ask anyway just in case. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?
Any ideas on why my bird of paradise leaf looks rusty? It’s one of the older leaves on the plant, none of the other leaves look like this.
I’ve had this plant for a really long time, I never knew what it was. Could anyone figure out what it is, it’s a desert plant. Lately its leaves haven’t been doing well & hopefully once I figure out what it is I can help it.
Anyone know why my plant is doing this? It’s an outdoor plant and we live in Florida. Was doing fine until recently. I know we’ve had a bit of a cold snap but I don’t think that’s the issue? Could it be that I need to repot maybe? The leaves are yellowing and becoming transparent for clarification
Is she dead? I bought a lemon cypress yesterday on clearance at a CVS while just grabbing some bandaids and she’s bone dry and crunchy. I repotted her to moist soil and I’m sure it will take time but I’m wondering now after some research if she’s too far gone.
Hi last night I noticed that my spider plant has lost 2 perfectly healthy leaves for no apparent reason like it has enough light and water and the pot is the the right size can someone please help me as I’m worried something is very wrong
To those who use mosquito bits to control gnats: would it be safe/effective to crumble it into the soil?
Whats going on with the pilia and the black spots? Treated it with bonide to get rid of gnats. Already took of some other leaves with these black spots.
Does anyone know what’s wrong with my African violet?
Hi all! I bought this money tree ~2 weeks ago (never had one before). I noticed right after purchasing it has mealy bugs on a leaf so I physically removed those/treated/quarantined the plant for a week. Repotted a week ago and now am noticing these spots on 2 of the newer leaves. Any idea what this could be? The plant has been watered according to schedule and has north facing and *some* west facing light.
plant people, help me out! i’ve had this red prayer plant for a couple of months now. i originally potted into a small 4” pot and decided it needed an upgrade after seeing some roots grow out the bottom. well, it looks quite upset with the repotting and has been curled up and floppy since then (about a week). idk what to do! soil is moist and i’ve been misting with water every few days. it’s just very unhappy and i really don’t want this one to die… any tips are appreciated ):
My variegated monstera has brown dots on it? I checked online and it said to increase drainage and I did, I was told to put silaca gel packets on top of the soil and I did but we still seem to be struggling. The new growths look fine but not this one. Any recommendations?
Hello! Is there anyway I can cut this down and try to save it? It hasn’t done well in any of the light I’ve put it in, but under a plant light it’s getting a little more fresh on top
I wrote on here about 1 week ago that my Thai monstera was drench when I got it from Home Depot. It still is very droopy especially the bottom leaves. Can some one please help me
I’ve had this Peace Lily for about a year now and it seems to have hated me from the very beginning. It was from a funeral arrangement with multiple plants, so I don’t know if it was diseased from the beginning, but it seemed healthy enough at first. Then the leaves started drying from the tips up so I hurried up and repotted it, separating it from the other plants with which it was potted. The roots looked fine back then. Since then, I’ve tried more light, less light, more water, less water, fertilizer… What started as a rather full plant is down to a few leaves of new growth. That at least makes me a little bit hopeful, but I want to know what to do right this time so that these new leaves don’t shrivel and die too. I thought I might need to repot it now that it’s so small, but I also didn’t want to make it mad, lol, so I haven’t done that yet. Any thoughts?
This is my rattlesnake plant. I’m a beginner. I feel like no matter what I do it always looks like this and I see no growth. Any care tips for this guy?
My blue java banana plant looks like it needs help. I live in an 8b zone and it started getting colder, and i’m not sure what to do please help.
Please help me save my Chinese evergreen!!! I bought this Chinese evergreen about 2 weeks ago, very healthy looking. I put it by a big window, where it started to wilt within 48 hours. I live in Scotland so I thought I’d maybe shocked the plant by putting it near the cold window, so I moved it to a warmer place. In the past two weeks I’ve watered it once with just a bit of water, and once under a running tap until it drained through the soil. I’ve kept it in nice light, away from the window. It is continuing to wither away, each day the leaves turn progressively more brown and the brown spots are spreading to the other leaves. There is now only ONE leaf with no brown spots at all. PLEASE what can I do???
Can anybody tell me why my coffee plant is getting crispy on one side, and how to save it? - a new, still learning plant parent
