Just got these philo cuttings from my grandma (going to pot soon) but I noticed these spots on a few of the leaves and wasn’t sure what they were. Pests of some kind? Rot caused by water/sun/nutrients/etc? Just wanted to check if I need quarantine her or not.

Help! These tiny white spots are everywhere. I thought powdery mildew, but I'm not sure. Several of my plants have died or become unhealthy since it showed up. Now I'm seeing it on my seed starts. Also, there are little bugs flying around. They look like gnats, but i dont think they are. Any advice would be super helpful.
Hi!! Im a new plant owner and I have a Calathea as one of my plants. I’m unsure if it’s dying or getting too much sun, something in me is telling me that I probs did something wrong to my plant. The top leaf has a hole forming and the bottoms ones are abit flappy. Any advice or pointing what looks off on the plant is welcome!!😊
Hi! I recently bought a baby Monstera and when I brought her home she was just fine but now the leaves are not okay and I know almost nothing about them. I am fairly certain there are no bugs but if you think otherwise just lmk! Also the soil does not seem to soak up water and I don’t know how to fix that! I do think it needs a repot but I can’t afford well draining soil at the moment so I would love to know what I should do for my baby to get her back to fell health!
My Stromanthe Triostar is getting dryness on the tips of the leaves. What could be causing this?
I've been noticing white millipedes (garden symphlans per google?) in a few of my plants. The sites I've looked at say it's usually due to a moisture problem, but it seems like if I water any less than I am my plants wilt and my spider plant loses color. I'm wondering if I need to repot them in soil with more drainage? So far the plants I've noticed them in are all from the same shop, but I've repotted one of them and it still has the same problem. I also read these bugs aren't necessarily harmful, but I'm not a big fan of seeing them in my houseplants 😬
i’m totally new to the fern world but i grabbed this guy for $4. He hasn’t been repotted but he was watered recently and his roots looked fine. I added perlite to the bottom of the nursery pot because it was straight soil and hard to break up without hurting the delicate roots. Once it dries out more i’ll repot with something thicker. Additionally I want to get a semi-closed glass container to keep up some humidity but not too much. Any recommendations will help. I thought the fuzziness was similar to a velvet alocasia in that it STAYS ON. Apparently not. I sprayed and wiped with Neem oil and it started coming off.. so I stopped and dabbed up any excess. Driving it home I noticed a weird smell coming from it. Is it like a normal fern smell? I didn’t see any rot so I’m confused. Any tips or info is welcome. TIA
I just potted my golden pothos, it was in a little cup with water for many months. Its been almost a week and the base leaf id starting to weaken and turn yellow (not the regular golden part) anyone know what i could have done wrong?
I repotted my rubber plant because I thought he needed more space. However ever since then he has become droopy, losing leaves and his leaves have become really really soft droopy and not thick and hard like before. He still gets the same amount of light (12hr grow light) and I follow his watering schedule. However I started to notice that when I water him the water drains like normal but if I dig further into the soil it stays dry. No matter how much water I give him the water drains out normally but the soil especially around his stems/roots remain dry. I’ve squeezed his pot to break up the soil but there’s still a lot of soil that remains dry. Did I give him way too much space? Please help he is my first baby and I don’t want him to die :(!!!!! I haven’t changed the type of soil or water (distilled water) so I am so confused!!
I recently got a jade succulent about 2 weeks ago, I’ve watered it and have been putting it in my window sill during the day can anyone tell me why the leaves are dying? I looked it up on Google and it says it could be sunburn because jade plants are “indirect sun” plants meaning sun but not too much I’m guessing, anyways I just want to confirm because I do have a spot for it that has sun just not as much because it really does look like the leaves are just frying and getting burnt. Also can anyone tell me what I should do in this situation? I’m going to reposition it and if those brown leaves don’t get better, would it be best for me to pluck them off and start new or will they eventually revive themselves when they get into a better spot. Any replies would help a lot and I am first time plant owner so I’m just kinda freaking out cause I don’t want it to all go down! Thank you guys so much again and any criticism or help is greatly appreciated!!
Question for Mystic Palm. I travelled away from home and forgot to give him water before I left. Came back and watered immediately but the leaves look dried up and sad. They aren’t completely brown yet. Do you think these fronds can get better or should I cut some off?
Does anyone have any idea what I could do to save my palm? Does it need more soil? It was striving for a while and then this happened :(
It’s just lint/dust right?… right?? 😭😭
Hello! I recently moved to my grandmothers property, these apples trees were producing crazy amount of fruit last year, but no one has been up keeping them for a few years now. It needs some TLC and I notice that the one has holes all over the body / both have a ton of moss growth and dying branches. These trees are very sentimental to me they have been here over 28 years, I grew up playing in them and making apple pie and sauce from the harvest. I really want to bring them back if I can. Looks like it was trimmed a bit but I think that’s because the over growth was just aweful.
I replanted my Christmas Cactus a few weeks ago. Purchased new cactus soil and thoroughly checked for root rot. As you can see there is hardly any root system. I went to water the other day and it tipped out of the pot. I also have leaves falling off constantly and branches almost like disintegrating. I’ve had this plant for 25 years and can’t seem to get it back healthy. Any and all tips, tricks and/or advice would be highly appreciated. Please HELP!!! 🙏🏻
I have a new member😍 Vera
Please help!! I’ve had this Alocasia plant for 3 years now and while I haven’t killed it, it’s not looking so good. It’s in an ikea self watering pot and has light plus I spray every once in a while. Haven’t repotted this plant for a year now. Does it need a new pot? Why isn’t it looking healthy?
Hello! I noticed when I water my plants it doesn’t drain. Am I not watering it enough? If it’s possible that the soil is too compact would it be ok to take them out of the pot n loosen the soil n repot them? Or is there a better way of doing that?
Got this plant about 2-3 weeks ago. It was soaked! I ended up removing that soil altogether and repotting back into the nursery pot which is then sitting in the decorative pot. The tips of the leaves are turning brown. I’m assuming bc of how wet it was. Do I remove those leaves???
Hi everyone! I posted on here a few days ago about my Monstera’s leaves curling in and yellowing. I figured out it’s probably over watering, so I went to look for root rot, there definitely was rot! I have trimmed up the dead bits but as this is my first monstera I don’t know if these roots are salvageable. Any tips on how to heal her past this would be greatly appreciated!!
