I have gnats! I am very much a novice and noticed some gnats around my plants. What can I do to get rid of them? Please help! I love my little plants and don't want to fail them!
Saved this aloe from target and itâs doing better than it originally was. Two of the leaves needed support but are getting stronger. Does anyone know what this could be on the leaves? Is it something i should be concerned about?
I saw somewhere you can boil the potting soil and it sanitizes it for a new plant, is this true?
Hi, Iâve never dealt with pests before - I just got a new money tree and Iâm concerned that this is pest damage. What do you guys think?
Hi, I'm new to plant care and I'm hoping someone could help me with this. A few of the leaves on my jade plant have this texture on them, and I found two thrips on the plant which I removed. I've recently lost a couple of plants to thrips but I don't know if they present differently on this type of leaf. Is this texture as a result of thrips or could it be something else? I would be gutted to lose this plant too so any help is appreciated!
Help! My Norfolk Island pine has spider mites. I sprayed with an alcohol dilution and they went away. Now theyâre back and my plant is brittle, dropping, and discolored. What do I do?
Hello! My plant is lacking colour and itâs very droopy, does anyone know whatâs going on?? Please help!! (The first picture was from when I first got it, the other one is now)
Hey everyone, I need some help with my Chinese money plant. About a month ago I realized I was overwatering it because some of the leaves were rotting at the ends. I cleaned the roots, gave it some fresh soil and adjusted its watering schedule. All was well for a while but recently Iâve noticed some of the leaves arenât expanding and the new ones are growing brown. Is this still overwatering? Iâm starting to think that the pot itself might not be draining properly.
Hello everyone! đ This is Willy, Willy has not grown in quite a while and the leafs are kind of brown. When I re-potted him, the roots seemed pretty dry, and they sort of looked dead. I donât know what to do? Or maybe this is the end for Willy?
Checked on my alocasia ninja yesterday and itâs roots had completely rotted, is there any saving this guy or should I call it a day? Thanks so much âșïž
Hello! Im really sad because I think I overwatered my baby rubber plant and I donât know if it will make it. I put it in well draining soil and changed her spot to a sunnier room. Do you think sheâll make it? She has lost almost all her leaves :(
My Pilea needs some help. Some of the leaves are convex and some are concave. It sits mostly in a west window and has a small sansai grow light 12 hours per day. I water when the leaves start getting soft and bendable. Thoughts?
Hi! Can anybody please tell me why my golden pothos has brown spots like this? And any advice on how to fix it?
My Mother-In-Law is starting to lean instead of stand straight like it use to. What going on?
Any recommendations for mealy bugs? Thank you in advance?
Just curious if anyone can tell based on these pictures if my aloe is beginning to be infested by spider mites. I just saw a tiny spider crawling around in the soil. It didnât look like a spider mite but Iâm really not sure.
Iâve reached the end of my tether with fungus gnats. What are my options? Advice or thoughts are very gratefully received⊠Iâve tried everything (I think!) and Iâm exhausted. Itâs been five months of this war and while there are way less gnats, I need them gone, exterminated, for good. The current regime is: yellow sticky traps everywhere (almost literally), watering less (but I have some plants that wonât tolerate that much) and mosquito bits in every watering. Plus hydrogen peroxide solution if itâs looking bad on particular plants. I see two options: 1) Spend a lot of money and mix enough soil to repot everything in one day (or I guess bake all the existing soilâŠ?), sealing each of the plants in a bathroom after repotting and then smoke bombing the heck out of the rest of the house. This sounds insane I know. But Iâm hyper focused enough to do it. 2) Try carnivorous plants. This is a less nuclear option but I need to tip the balance in my favour. Iâm thinking 3 - 4 Cape Sundews might do it and I hear theyâre good gnat eaters. Has anyone tried this?
I got a new mini monstera about a week ago. I got it with wet soil and havent watered since, but i noticed these dark brown spots with yellow rings beginning to form? I think its spreading to other leaves, im not too sure. Is this a form of root rot or fungal infection? And if so, how do i fix it so it doesnt continue to spread to the other leaves?
Why is my aloe plant leaf turn brown?
