This is Aslan. He’s a ~30 year old jade plant that is a cutting from my abuela’s giant jade plant. As you can see he is in a tomato can, which lacks drainage. It was originally a temporary pot after my dad accidentally knocked the original pot over and broke it, but Aslan has seemed to quite like the can despite the lack of drainage for a few years now, and grown more than it has in years. I’ve been told by my aunt it seems Aslan is “stretching” and should be repotted or beheaded and propogated, but I’m absolutely terrified to do either as this plant was the last one of my abuela’s she cut for anyone, and she has since passed on. I really don’t wanna kill this one. He’s very dear to me. If anyone can offer any advice on repotting a jade this old, you have no idea how grateful I’d be.

Hi there! I was told this is a Aglanemea variegated Pearl and I’m VERY new to this plant. I put it on my windowsill and only watered it a bit. I’ve only had it for about two weeks and it’s started yellowing on the new leaves so I’m a bit worried I’m doing something wrong. Any help is greatly appreciated. Also if that’s not what type of plant this is PLEASE let me know! 😰

Hi Everyone 👋 I have a Meyer Lemon tree that I bought from a nursery a couple weeks ago. When I first got it, it seemed like the soil was holding water really well (it is currently still in the nursery pot). However, now it feels like it is completely dry within a couple of hours. I was told to water it twice a week. So here are my questions - 1.) should I repot it into a similar size pot? Maybe a clay pot? Or ceramic? Please note - I live in Kansas and we have extremely harsh winds. I want it to be in a pot so I can take it in if need be! I also want to be able to keep it alive during winter. 2.) If I do repot it, what soil should I use? 3.) How often am I really suppose to be watering it? I feel like the soil it is in now, it to “mulch like” so maybe that is what it keeps drying out so fast? Thanks in advance!!

Hey everyone! I have a pilea libanensis aquamarine (silver sprinkles) and it’s losing what seems like a decent amount of leaves. It’s still looking pretty full but the leaves on it also look like they’re yellowing. Any thoughts about what it could be? *it sits in front of a south facing window that’s covered with sheer curtains and I try to water when it’s top few inches of soil is feeling dry.

Fiddle leaf fig just popped out a new leaf, but it has a bunch of red and brown spots :( I’ve seen a bit of spider mites so I’ve been spraying it with captain jack’s deadbug spray every other week. Should I start spraying it more often or try something else?

The stem on my plant isn’t green anymore. is this bad? the rest of my plant seems perfectly healthy. it’s probably due for a repotting, but in the two years i’ve had it, it still produces healthy green leaves and its never been sick and hasn’t ever had bugs. the stem stopped being green a long time ago(like a year or so) but i thought id ask for some feedback as to what it could mean

Does anybody know how to get rid of these little flies that are everywhere on my plants and in my room?!?!? I want them gone as soon as possible before I can run to Home Depot to get actual press spray!! And I need something that won’t kill them 😅

Some of my leaves are turning brown like this, I have a lot of spider plants in this pot. Is it overcrowding?

Any thoughts? My friends snake plant has these spots. I’ve never seen this in a snake plant. I don’t believe it’s over watered, she knows they don’t need a lot often. It doesn’t get a ton of light but I don’t think it’s TOO bad…. Might repot it to see what the roots look like, but thought I’d ask here if anyone has come across this before.

What’s wrong with my Camille (dieffenbachia maculata)? He has been browning out/yellowing along the edges for a while now. I moved him closer to the window, I water when soil is dry, and I recently repotted him to make sure it wasn’t root rot or anything (issues began before I repotted him). You can see the yellowing of the leaves is no longer just the edges of the leaves and are spotting entirely. The newer baby leaves are already starting to shrivel at the end. Help please!!!

This is my ginseng ficus (Big Booty) Judy. I’ve had her about 2 months and she has consistently lost her beautiful leaves, especially after I repotted her. Repotted in a stoneware pot, slightly larger than her original nursery pot. Well draining soil mix. She was living about 10 feet from a window and I moved her to about 1ft from a south-facing window a few weeks ago. She does recently have a few new little buds (pictured) - is she going to be alright?

I have five little baby cacti growing off the original. How should I safely remove them? I don’t mind if I can’t keep them alive while moving but I don’t want it to affect my main guy.
